Behavioural school of thought is concerned with behavior changes that promote survival and reproduction.

Behavioral schools argue that behavior can be explained scientifically without resorting to internal physiological events or hypothetical constructs such as thoughts and beliefs, and view behavior as a more productive part of understanding human and animal psychology.

Behaviorism focuses on observable behavior. Learning theories, including classical and operant conditioning, have been the focus of much research. This is based on the premise that it is impossible to study the mind objectively and that psychologists should therefore turn their attention to the study of behavior itself.
