  • Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, an Italian humanist philosopher and scholar, was another of his students.
  • Probably due to the early influences of his father Diotifeci, who was physician to Cosimo de' Medici, Ficino published Latin and Italian treatises on medical topics such as Consiglio contro la pestilenza
