However, we may say that there are three different types of neurons in the spinal cord: sensory, motor, and interneurons.

Information is sent from the injured site to the brain's central nervous system by sensory neurons. Neurons in the spinal cord and brain are known as interneurons. Interneurons would aid in interpreting the pain and allowing brain to provide commands. The nervous system sends motor neurons the command to contract the muscles of the leg and foot. One of the two primary components of body's nervous system is the peripheral nervous system . Most of senses are sent information into your brains through your PNS.A sensor, an interneuron, as well as a motor neuron are needed for the reflex depicted in this picture, which is why it is known as a 3-neuron reflex.
