Recent research has suggested that nearly half of all the gang members in the United States are Hispanic.
According to the National Youth Gang Survey analysis and other research, law enforcement agencies have reported that a greater percentage of Hispanic and African American members in gang as compared to other race/ethnicities. The most recent figures provided by law enforcement shows that 46 percent of gang members are Hispanic, 35 percent are African American, over 11 percent are white, and 7 percent member belong to other race or ethnicity. Hence, it can be suggested that nearly half of all the gang members in the United States are Hispanic.
