After the aftermath of War of 1812 and the scarcity that accompanied it, industry, particularly textiles, had already begun to experience dramatic growth.

War of 1812 was fought between United States of America and its British counterpart that is the United Kingdom. The main reason for the war to occur was due to British restrictions on U.S. trade and America's desire to expand its territory. Also, around the same time US developed a strong naval force which was earlier a British supremacy. During the war, major foreign products were stopped to be exported to USA due to which native American manufacturing industries flourished tremendously as the people were compelled to buy American products only. The reliance of Americans on foreign products was also reduced. There were new inventions that made weaving and creating textiles much faster.
