Respuesta :

Winston does not symbolize the aspects of mankind that Julia does: pure sexuality, guile, and survival. Winston barely scrapes by, but Julia is a genuine survivor who will use all means at her disposal to carry out her selfish uprising.

The main characteristic that binds Winston and Julia together and results in their passionate connection is their disdain for the Party. Both of them are independent, creative, and disobedient. In addition, Winston and Julia differ significantly. Winston is older and less attractive than Julia, who is youthful and attractive. In her rebellion against the party, Julia is even more aimless; her main motivation is to satisfy her personal wishes. On the other side, Winston is more concerned with the larger picture and intends to permanently destroy the Party.
