X University presently grants me a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I graduated with a total GPA of 3.80 and spent eight straight semesters on the Dean's list and honor roll. I also participated in the Undergraduate Students Union for Psychology and volunteered frequently at the institution's outreach program for victims of domestic abuse.
Since I was a little child, I've paid close attention to how people behave. My mother was a caseworker, and I frequently accompanied her on her different community service projects. In one particular incident, we were visiting some homeless people who had been welcome into a recently constructed shelter that my mother's group had helped to fund.
When I was twelve years old, my mother told me that many of the homeless people she knew who participated in the program either had drug issues right now or had in the past but had overcome them. I started to consider the adaptability of the human mind at this point, as well as how readily available mental health treatments are for those who are disenfranchised.
I am prepared to continue my study in order to work with government organizations to improve access to resources for mental health. I appreciate you reviewing my application, and I sincerely hope I get the chance to join your wonderful community.
