Other instruments include xylophones, bamboo flutes, the zither-like siter (used in Javanese ensembles), rebabs (bowed instruments), and sindhen (female) or gerong singers (male). Gamelan was added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 15, 2021.
