3v+1=6v-8
1+8=6v-3v
9=3v
9/3=v

Plug 3 into the expression to solve and you get 10.

If ∆ABC≅∆PQR, then m<b = m<q [ Corresponding sides ]

So, 3v+1 = 6v - 8
6v - 3v = 1 + 8
3v = 9
v = 3

Now, m<b & m<q = 3(3) + 1 = 9 + 1 = 10
