The Fryer-Edidin experiment proved that membranes heve fluidity and flexibility in them due to the movement of protein within cells membranes. The experiment showed that two cells are fused have they membrane proteins diffused around the membrane and mingle rather than being locked in only one area of the plasm membrane.
