Solve the inequality: 4x + 8 - 5x > 13

4x+8-5x > 13

Combine like terms

4x-5x+8> 13

-x +8 > 13

Subtract 8 from both sides:

-x+8-8 > 13-8

-x > 5

Multiply both sides by -1

x < -5
