From the problem, we have the expression :

[tex]2(3-b)+5(b-3)^2[/tex]

We need a common factor to be extracted from the expression, (3 - b) when multiplied to -1 will be (b - 3).

[tex]-2(b-3)+5(b-3)^2[/tex]

Now we can factor out (b- 3)

[tex]\begin{gathered} (b-3)\lbrack-2+5(b-3)\rbrack \\ \Rightarrow(b-3)\lbrack-2+5b-15\rbrack \\ \Rightarrow(b-3)(5b-17) \end{gathered}[/tex]

The answer is (b - 3)(5b - 17)
