To find the equation.

So now the given fraction is,

$\frac{x}{1+3x}$

So now we add. so we get,

$\frac{x+8}{1+3x+8}=\frac{1}{2}$

So now we get,

$\frac{x+8}{3x+9}=\frac{1}{2}$

So this is the required solution.
