The volume of a cylinder is given as:

[tex]V=\pi r^2h[/tex]

where r is the radius and h is the height. In this case the radius is 4.5 in (half the diameter) and the height is 15 in. Plugging this values we have:

[tex]V=(3.14)(4.5)^2(15)=953.78[/tex]

Therefore the volume is 953.78 cubic inches.
