a) We know that the volume of a cylinder is:

$V=h\pi r^2$

Now we can replace the values we have so:

$\begin{gathered} V=23\cdot(2^2)\cdot\pi \\ V=92\cdot\pi \end{gathered}$

b) now we can replace pi by 3.1416 and operate so:

$V=289.03$
