We use the formula of the area of a trapezoid

[tex]A=\frac{(B+b)h}{2}[/tex]

where A is the area, B and b are bases of the trapezoid and h the height

we can replace values like area, and bases

[tex]51=\frac{(10+7)h}{2}[/tex]

simplify

[tex]51=\frac{17h}{2}[/tex]

multiply on both sides to remove denominator 2

[tex]\begin{gathered} 51\times2=\frac{17h}{2}\times2 \\ \\ 102=17h \\ 17h=102 \end{gathered}[/tex]

and divide between 17 to find h

[tex]\begin{gathered} h=\frac{102}{17} \\ \\ h=6 \end{gathered}[/tex]

the height of trapezoid is 6cm
