Point slope form:

y-y1 = m (x-x1)

Where:

(x1,y1) = (-5,9)

(x2,y2) = (1,3)

Replacing:

y-9 = m (x-(-5))

y-9 = m (x+5)

Replace x,y by point 2, and solve for m

3-9 = m (1+5)

-6 = 6 m

-6/6 = m

m= -1

final equation:

y-9 = -1 (x+5)
