rising life expectancy

Rising life expectancy contributes to the long-term impact of the US baby boom.

The baby boom was a period marked by a significant increase of birth rate. The term "baby boom" refers to the post–World War II baby boom which tool place from 1946 to 1964 when the number of annual births outnumbered 2 per 100 women (or approximately 1% of the total population size). Nearly 78.3 million Americans were born during this period.

The baby boom took place in countries that experienced unmeasurable damage from the war and were going through dramatic economic issues.
