Replace x by 5 and y by 2 on both equations, and check if the equalities remain:

2x-3y=4

2(5)-3(2) =4

10-6= 4

4=4 EQUAL

2x+8y= 11

2(5) + 8(2)=11

10 + 16 = 11

26=11

26 is not equal to 11

The ordered pair is NOT a solution to the system of equations.
