Concept: graph of polynomials functions

The graph of the functions cut the x-axis at three different points from the left they are given as

[tex]x=-2,x=1,x=2[/tex]

then the factor of the function becomes

[tex](x+2)(x-1)(x-2)[/tex]

Simplifying further by applying difference of two squares the function becomes

[tex]f(x)=(x-1)(x^2-4)[/tex]

Therefore the right option is 3
