To add the fractions we have to find the LCD of the denominators:

Multiples:

4 = 4,8,12,16,20,24,28

7=7,14,21,28

LCD =28

So, we have to multiply the first fraction by 7/7 and the second by (4/4), and then add the top numbers.

[tex](\frac{3}{4}\times\frac{7}{7})+(\frac{1}{7}\times\frac{4}{4})=\frac{21}{28}+\frac{4}{28}=\frac{25}{28}[/tex]

Simplified = 25/28
