To find the slope of the line passing through the points:

[tex]\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}=m[/tex]The points are:
x1 =3, y1 = 8 and x2 = 7, y2=-7. Then:
[tex]m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}=\frac{-7-8}{7-3}=\frac{-15}{4}\rightarrow m=-\frac{15}{4}[/tex]Then, the slope of the line passing through points above is m = -15/4.
