We need to use the slope of the point-to-point formula for the line equation:

$y-y1=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}\cdot(x-x1)$

The slope is, therefore:

$\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}=m$

The points are:

x1 =3, y1 = 8 and x2 = 7, y2=-7. Then:

$m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}=\frac{-7-8}{7-3}=\frac{-15}{4}\rightarrow m=-\frac{15}{4}$

Then, the slope of the line passing through points above is m = -15/4.
