hello

the question given is to find the inverse of a function

[tex]f(x)=-x+15[/tex]

the inverse of the function is

[tex]\begin{gathered} f(x)=y \\ \end{gathered}[/tex]

step 1

replace every f(x) with y just like we've done above

step 2

replace every y with x and x with y in the equation

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=-x+15 \\ x=-y+15 \end{gathered}[/tex]

step 3

solve for y

[tex]\begin{gathered} x=-y+15 \\ y=-x+15 \end{gathered}[/tex]

step 4

replace every y with f^-1(x)

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=-x+15 \\ f^{-1}(x)=-x+15 \end{gathered}[/tex]

the inverse of the function is f^-1(x) = -x + 15
