Part A:

The shortest side length of the original figure is 4 units. Given that the final figure will have a scale factor of 1/4, then multiply 4 units by 1/4,

[tex]4\times\frac{1}{4}=1[/tex]

which means that the shortest side length of the final figure is 1 unit.

Part B:

As demonstrated above, the side length of the original figure is multiplied by the scale factor 1/4.

Part C:

As observed in parts a, 1/4, which is a scale factor less than 1, when multiplied on the original figure gives out a smaller final figure, therefore, it is FALSE that that the final figure will be larger

Part D:

Since the angles of the figure are unaffected by the scale factor, it is TRUE that the final figure and original figure are similar.
