Multiplications and fractions

In order to multiply an integer and a fraction we just multiply the integer and the numerator:

[tex]7\times\frac{7}{6}=\frac{7\times7}{6}=\frac{49}{6}[/tex]

This is because two fractions are multiplied "in line":

[tex]\frac{7}{1}\times\frac{7}{6}=\frac{7\times7}{1\times6}=\frac{49}{6}[/tex]

Answer: 7 × 7/6 = 49/6
