I have to solve this system of equations using elimination. I don't understand how to do this one.

3x + 0 = 9

3x = 9

x = 9/3

x = 3

Find y

8(2) + 2y = 20

16 + 2y = 20

2y = 20 - 16

2y = 4

y = 4/2

y = 2

Result

x = 3, y = 2
