Do you think political parties are a valid source of information about candidates and their views? why or why not?

They are not. Political parties are biased and want to present their candidate in the best possible light. When it comes to the opposing candidate, they will often present him/her in the worse possible light. That is why it is not wise to just listen to what a party has to say regarding candidates as they are extremely biased.
