The use of liquid detergent for DNA isolation have the objective of unwind the cell membranes so that the DNA can be released into the solution (nuclear membrane), and the meat tenderizer (enzyme) is a proteinase that have the function of remove proteins bound to the DNA and destroys the endonucleases that can degradate the DNA molecule in solution.
