1) We have a rigth triangle.
We have to find the length of the leg x.
As we know the hypotenuse and one of the angles, we can write the trigonometric ratio:
[tex]\begin{gathered} \cos(32\degree)=\frac{Adjacent}{Hypotenuse}=\frac{x}{14} \\ x=14*\cos(32\degree) \\ x\approx14*0.848 \\ x\approx11.9 \end{gathered}[/tex]Answer: x = 11.9
