The answer is B because the sun is so hot it causes water to evaporate, and as water evaporates it has to go some where. Once the hits the top of the atmosphere then it must must condense, otherwise known as gather together, to form clouds. As the dictionary states, precipitation is rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls to the ground from the clouds.
The correct answer is - the water was evaporated from the ocean, condensed in clouds, and fell as precipitation.
The water cycle starts with the evaporation of the water when it is exposed to certain temperature. The water than turns into water vapor, which is easier than the air, so it goes up in the atmosphere. As it goes up, it reaches parts where it is colder. Because the temperature drops, the water condenses and the clouds start forming. Because of the gravitational pull, the drops of water will start to fall in the form of precipitation and will be back on the surface of the Earth or the water bodies.
