I have tried this quite a few times and seems like I can’t get the correct answer and how to do it!

Given that;

$f(x)=3+\frac{2}{x+7}$

Where f(x)=0. Thus;

$\begin{gathered} 0=3+\frac{2}{x+7} \\ \\ \text{ Multiply through by }(x+7) \\ \\ 0=3(x+7)+2 \\ \\ 3x+21=-2 \\ \\ 3x=-23 \\ \\ x=-\frac{23}{3} \end{gathered}$

ANSWER:

$x=-\frac{23}{3}$
