And replacing we got:

$m=\frac{9+6}{-1-2}=-5$

The general equation for a line is given by:

y= mx+b

Since we have m=-5 we can find b using a point for example x=2 and y=-6

-6= -5(2) +b

And solving for b we got:

b= -6+ 10=4

y= -5x +4
