DNA is a molecule that has negative charges when it is at neutral pH, so when this molecule is in gel electrophoresis it tends to go in the direction of positive charges (positive pole).

Therefore, in gel electrophoresis, the DNA moves to the positive pole because the DNA is slightly negative.
