Count the number of grids to the right from the origin of the coordinate grid to find the x coordinate of a point and count the number of grids in the upward direction to find the y coordinate of a point.

From the graph, the coordinate of the first point is,

[tex](x,y)=(1\frac{1}{2},\text{ 8}\frac{1}{2})[/tex]

The coordinates of the second point is,

[tex](x,y)=(2\frac{1}{2},6)[/tex]

The coordinates of the third point is,

[tex](x,y)=(4,7\frac{1}{2})[/tex]

The coordinates of the fourth point is,

[tex](x,y)=(5\frac{1}{2},1)[/tex]

So, the x values and the corresponding y values in table D and the x and y coordinates of the points are the same.

Therefore, the table of coordinates in table D is used by Ashlyn to plot the points.
