The perimeter of a rectangle is 18 ft. the length is 1 ft longer than the width find the dimensions?

Let, the width = x
Length = x + 1

It is given that, 18 = 2(x+1+x)
18 = 2(2x+1)
18 = 4x + 2
4x = 18 - 2
x = 16 / 4
x = 4
& x+1 = 5

In short, Your dimensions would be: 5 × 4 Feet
