Solve the system of equations

substitute equation 1 in equation 2

solve for y

Multiply both sides by 3 to remove the fraction

8y+3y=1815

11y=1815

y=165

therefore

The answer is

165 kilograms of vegetables

and

x=(8/3)y ------> x=(8/3)165=440
