Part A
To graph the inverse function, what you do is to simply switch the x and y-coordinates which was done in your graph.
However, the labelling is incorrect.
• x-axis: Price per toaster (in $)
,• y-axis: Years since 1960.
Part B
From the first graph:
[tex]\begin{gathered} f(40)=30 \\ \implies f^{-1}(30)=40\text{ years} \end{gathered}[/tex]What the inverse function means is that the toaster's price is $30 in 40 years after 1960.
