Mathematically,

Notice from the position graph that it is a uniform motion.

To find the rate of change, select any two points on the line.

(1, 1) and (3, 3)

[tex]v=\frac{\Delta x}{\Delta t}=\frac{x_2-x_1}{t_2-t_1}_{}=\frac{3-1}{3-1}=\frac{2}{2}=1[/tex]

This means that the velocity is 1 m/s and it is constant.
