To find the run and the rise we need to select two points. Using (0, 2) as the first point, and (1, 0) as the second point, to go from the 1st point to the 2nd point you have to move 1 unit to the right (the run) and 2 units down (the rise). Since you go down, the rise is negative.

The slope is calculated with the next formula:

Substituting with rise = -2 and run = 1, we get:
