First find the measures of the rectangle W

Area of the rectangle is

[tex]A=l\times h[/tex]

then replace the values to find h

[tex]\begin{gathered} 270=18\times h \\ h=\frac{270}{18}=15 \end{gathered}[/tex]

now find the factor between the rectangles dividing the length of the rectangle X and length of the W

[tex]\frac{7.2}{18}=\frac{2}{5}[/tex]

Multiply the heigth of Rectangle W by te factor to obtain the heigth of the Rectangle X

[tex]15\times\frac{2}{5}=6[/tex]

now find the area of the rectangle X using the formula, height and length

[tex]\begin{gathered} A=l\times h \\ A=7.2\times6 \\ A=43.2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Area of the Rectangle X is 43.2 square units
