We want to calculate the following:

[tex]\begin{gathered} \sum ^8_{}x^{}_{} \\ \sum ^8_{}x^2_{} \\ (\sum ^8_{}x^{}_{})^2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The first one, is just asking the sum of all the values.

[tex]\sum ^8_{}x^{}_{}=58+85+14+59+79+92+61+50=498[/tex]

The second is asking for the sum of the squares of all the values of our set.

[tex]\sum ^8_{}x^2^{}_{}=58^2+85^2+14^2+59^2+79^2+92^2+61^2+50^2=35912[/tex]

And finally, the last one is asking for the square of the first sum. Since we already know th result we can just calculate the square.

[tex](\sum ^8_{}x^{}_{})^2=498^2=248004[/tex]

With this, we have our results.
