We will first convert to improper fraction

$=\frac{19}{4}-\frac{17}{6}$

Change 19/4 and 17/4 to an equivalent session, so that they can have the same denominator

$=\frac{57}{12}-\frac{34}{12}$$=\frac{23}{12}$$=1\frac{11}{12}$
