Respuesta :

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=x+5 \\ y=-x^2+x+6 \end{gathered}[/tex]

in order to find the intersection of both functions equal the expressions

[tex]x+5=-x^2+x+6[/tex]

equal to 0 the expression by bringing all to one side

[tex]x+5+x^2-x-6=0[/tex]

simplify the expression

[tex]x^2-1=0[/tex]

solve the expression

[tex]\begin{gathered} x^2=1 \\ x=\pm\sqrt[]{1} \\ x_1=1;x_2=-1 \end{gathered}[/tex]

the graphs intercept at x=-1 and x=1
