I ain't big sale there is 72 raisin cookies sold If the ratio of Raisin Cookies sold to oatmeal cookies was 9:1 why was the combined amount of raising an oatmeal cookie sold

Respuesta :

Let x be the combined amount of raising and oatmeal cookies sold:

Since, the amount of raisin cookies sold= 72

And the ratio of raisin cookies to oatmeal cookies is 9:1

Then,

[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{9}{1+9}\cdot x=72 \\ \frac{9}{10}\cdot x=72 \\ x=\frac{72\cdot10}{9} \\ x=\frac{720}{9}=80 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The combined amount of raising and oatmeal cookies sold were 80
