As there is no initial velocity is given, we assume that the initial velocity is u=0 m/s

Acceleration of the can be calculated from one of the equations of motion,

Where a is the acceleration of the body.

On substituting the known values ,

[tex]\begin{gathered} 30=0+\frac{1}{2}\times a\times8^2 \\ a=\frac{2\times30}{8^2} \\ =0.94m/s^2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Thus the acceleration of the body is 0.94 m/s²
