The surface area of the sphere is 576π cm²

The volume of a sphere can be determined using the following formula:

[tex]V=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3[/tex]

For this sphere the radius has a length of 12cm, then the volume can be calculated as follows:

[tex]\begin{gathered} V=\frac{4}{3}\pi(12^3) \\ V=\frac{4}{3}\pi\cdot1728 \\ V=2304\pi cm^3 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The volume of the sphere is 2304π cm³
