[tex]\begin{gathered} y1=3x-4 \\ y2=-3x+1 \end{gathered}[/tex]

For line 1

[tex]\begin{gathered} M1=3 \\ B1=-4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

For line 2:

[tex]\begin{gathered} M2=-3 \\ B2=1 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The lines are parallel if:

[tex]\begin{gathered} M1=M2 \\ 3=-3 \\ False \end{gathered}[/tex]

They are not parallel

The lines are perpendicular if:

[tex]\begin{gathered} M1\cdot M2=-1 \\ 3\cdot-3=-1 \\ -9=-1 \\ False \end{gathered}[/tex]

They are not perpendicular
