Assume f(x)-**? Find f-1(4).1021/211I don’t think my answer is right please help me

we have the function
[tex]f(x)=\frac{x+2}{3}[/tex]step 1
Find the inverse
Let
y=f(x)
so
y=(x+2)/3
step 2
Exchange the variables
x for y and y for x
x=(y+2)/3
step 3
Isolate the variable y
3x=y+2
y=3x-2
the inverse function is
f^-1(x)=3x-2
therefore
f^-1(4)=3(4)-2
