Role conflict can be defined as the way in which an employee have to engage in several tasks because his/her job position  is demanding.

This role can tend to have effect on the person day to day life activities as the person will not be able to have enough leisure time. This can in turn lead to stress due to lack of time to rest as a result of excess work.

Example of role conflict is when a person is been mandated  or force to report to work after completing he/her shift.

Therefore we can conclude that this scenario best illustrate what is called role conflict leading to the inability of the worker to have time for his son due to excess work load.
