In the designers proposal they state that the past EC and DB each measure 100 feet they also state that the garden will require 140 feet of hedges are their numbers reasonable explain your reasoning

To find the measure of the hedges we need to apply the hypothenuse, so:
[tex]\begin{gathered} h^2=\text{ c}^2\text{ + c}^2 \\ h^2(ED)=\text{ 50}^2\text{ + 50}^2 \\ h^2=\text{ 2500 + 2500} \\ h^2=\text{ 5000} \\ \sqrt[\placeholder{⬚}]{h^2}=\text{ }\sqrt[\placeholder{⬚}]{5000} \\ h=\text{ 70.71 feet} \\ \\ \end{gathered}[/tex]The hedges of ED, AE, BC will be:
[tex]70.71\text{ + 70.71 feet + AE =}141.42\text{ feet + AE}[/tex]So, they will require more than 140 feet of hedges, therefore their numbers are not reasonable because they were not taking into account the hedge AE, just with hedges ED and BC there are 141 feet.
